Most moles are harmless, but regularly checking your skin and seeking help is essential to quickly pick up signs of anything sinister. Here’s what to look out for.
Asymmetry: Do the two halves of the mole differ in shape?
Borders: Are the edges of the area irregular or blurred, or showing notches?
Colour: Multiple colours or changes in colour are a warning sign
Diameter: Is the mole particularly large? or has the size of it changed?
Evolution: Has the mole changed in any way?
Expert: We recommend an annual skin check with a dermatologist – but if you notice any changes in size, shape or colour, seek expert advice from your dermatologist, or your GP right away.
Good skin days, always.
