Everyone’s skin responds differently. Many people begin to see improvement within 2–3 months, but acne doesn’t follow a fixed timeline — some skins settle sooner, others need more time and adjustment.

As your skin improves, we evolve your treatment into a personalised maintenance plan designed to support long-term clarity and reduce the risk of future breakouts.

We don’t take a set-and-forget approach. We continue to review how your skin is responding and, where needed, refine your treatment plan to give it the best chance of working for you.

The cost is £150 an online session, which is highly cost effective compared to an in-clinic visit (our fees for in-person are £225-350). Follow ups (if needed) are £75.

This is a self-funding service only – if you have private medical insurance, we can absolutely see you in clinic. Please call us to book so we can make sure you will be covered.

Once you have secured your online appointment, you will receive a link that leads you to a virtual consultation room where your dermatologist will meet with you at your confirmed time slot. To get the most out of your consultation, we do ask you to complete the medical form and upload 3 clear photos of your skin. Don’t worry – all the information is stored securely and only the doctor and her secretary will be able to see it.

Within the consultation, our dermatologist will assess your skin thoroughly, and explain what’s happening and why. Together, we’ll come up with a personalised plan. Our treatments are clinically approved and focus on healthy, lasting results, meaning you’ll reach your skin goals – and stay there.

Yes. Whilst “board certified” is a US term, we have the equivalent with the GMC specialist register for dermatologists. 

A Consultant Dermatologist is the highest level of skin specialist. They are fully medically qualified doctors who have completed many years of specialist training in diagnosing and treating complex skin conditions — including acne, scarring and hormonal skin disorders. At No. 23 Skin, our consultant dermatologists combine deep clinical expertise with real-world experience, so you’re not just treating symptoms, but understanding what’s driving your skin and how to control it long-term.

Why does this matter?
Acne that isn’t treated correctly early on is more likely to persist or scar. Seeing the right level of specialist can change the course of your skin.

At the point of booking, we will ask for your local pharmacy so you are able to pick them up from there – or, we can send them directly to you at home.

We may also recommend skincare for you – this is usually products you are able to pick up locally to you, but we can help source them for you too. We are unbiased and not committed to any specific brands – so you know the doctors will recommend what is right for your skin.

No. 23 is not a subscription service – we are here to support you on a 1-2-1 basis when you need it.

Yes – we will be able to provide access to our acne dermatologists in clinic – we are based in London and have availability Monday to Friday, and some Saturdays.
