Skin tags and warts are common skin growths. Most of the time, they’re harmless. But that doesn’t mean you want to live with them — especially when they rub, itch, or knock your confidence.
At No. 23 Skin, we remove skin tags and warts safely, quickly, and professionally — with expert aftercare that keeps your healing on track. Skin tag removal is one of our most in-demand procedures, and for good reason: it’s straightforward, effective, and done by dermatology specialists who know skin inside out.
Whether it’s the rough bump on your finger or a tag that’s been catching on your necklace for years, you’re in the right place.
Before we dive into removal methods, let’s briefly discuss what skin tags and warts are:
There’s more than one way to remove these growths. The method depends on your skin, the size and location of the growth, and how quickly you’d like it gone.
Over-the-counter options like salicylic acid or freezing sprays (cryotherapy) exist. They can work on common warts and small skin tags, but they’re often slow, patchy, and don’t always give the result you hoped for. Inconsistent application and lack of follow-up care can lead to scarring or regrowth.
Professional removal is faster, cleaner, and more effective. Here’s how we do it at No. 23 Skin:
Cryotherapy – We freeze the growth with professional in-clinic liquid nitrogen (not the type you get in the pharmacy)
Electrosurgery – A small electrical current burns the growth away
Excision – The growth is carefully snipped off under sterile conditions
All are safe, same-day procedures with minimal downtime. And because you’re with medical experts, you’ll also get personalised aftercare advice so healing is smooth.
Whether you choose an OTC product or an in-office procedure, here’s what to expect during skin tag and wart removal:
Book in – You can book straight in for skin tag or wart removal — no separate consultation fee needed. Just select the service when you book online or give us a call on 02039411815.
Prep – We’ll ask you to keep the area clean before your visit. You don’t need to do much else, aside from check your diary (see aftercare below).
Treatment – It’s usually quick (around 30mins depending on the size of the skin tag being removed). We may use a local anaesthetic to keep things comfortable and you will be able to carry on with your day as normal after the procedure.
Aftercare – You’ll leave with clear instructions, usually involving keeping the area clean and dry for 24–48 hours, so don’t book a HIIT session or a steam that day.

Whether it’s your first time or your fifth procedure, you’ll feel in expert hands. Even if you don’t choose us, do go for someone with practicing medical professionals who are CQC registered (you then know your outcomes should be good and risk of infection low).
